Who

We are an association of people who search for minerals or are strongly connected to the world of minerals and who want to protect and preserve this ancient craft of blasting.

What

We want to show the search for crystals in a museum. There are already many museums about the crystals. The Swiss Crystal Seeker Museum, however, is the first to be dedicated to the search for minerals.

Where

The Swiss Crystal Seeker Museum is integrated in the old war fortress above Naters (VS). There is a reason for that. Crystal searching fits very well in the mountain. In addition, this fortress already houses two museums, the Fortress Museum and the Museum of the Pontifical Swiss Guard. This creates synergies that facilitate operations.

Why

People have been searching for minerals in the Swiss mountains for over 2000 years. So blasting is an ancient craft that is part of our cultural heritage. We show, document and honour this in this museum.

How do you become a member?
With the annual contribution of Fr. 50.- or the one-off contribution of Fr. 500.- you become a member of the Swiss Crystal Seeker Museum Association.
